About

I’m Sara, a freelance illustrator based in Mid-Wales, working with both digital and traditional hand-drawn and watercolour techniques. My work is inspired by a love of the natural world - from native and endangered species, seasonal cycles, and biodiversity to sustainable gardening and quiet outdoor moments. I draw influence from vintage bird books, luxury wine labels, old field guides, and pastoral children's illustration, sometimes with a nod to the look and feel of ’80s–’90s editorial print. I aim to combine clear linework, soft colour, handwritten detail, and a tactile, analog quality. I work across editorial illustration, illustrated nonfiction, and nature-focused branding, collaborating with publishers, magazines, artisan brands, and environmentally conscious organisations.
